Pertanyaan atau question adalah salah satu cara seseorang menanyakan sesuatu kepada orang lain dalam sebuah percakapan.


Pada kesempatan kali ini IBI akan membahas tentang question tags, Langsung saja kita simak materinya berikut ini.

Kita biasanya menggunakan question tags dalam sebuah percakapan dan penulisan resmi. Sebuah tag pertanyaan  terdiri dari dua kata. Kita meletakkannya pada akhir dari sebuah pernyataan untuk membuat sebuah pertanyaan. Kali ini kita akan lebih fokus dalam materi question tags yang menggunakan tags negatif.

Contoh:

1. You go to market, don’t you?

2. There’s a clock in the room, isn’t there?

Adapun question tags yang menggunakan positive tag,

1. Jakarta isn’t Sumatra, is it?

2. You shouldn’t eat chilies, should you?

Positive

1. With ‘be’

  •  Postive                                  + negative

I’m right                                          aren’t I?

Madonna’s from America             isn’t she?

You were here                               weren’t you?

2. Simple Present

  • Postive                                  +negative

You like read                               don’t you?

Dani loves writing                      doesn’t he?

3. Simple Past  

  • Postive                                  +negative

Ria talked to you                       didn’t she?

Vino went to Lampung            didn’t he?

4. Present Continuous

  • Postive                                  +negative

It’s training                                  Isn’t it?

The boys are going                     aren’t they?

5. With ‘should’

  • Postive                                  +negative

Jimmy should leave soon             shoudn’t he?

6. With ‘there’

  • Postive                                  +negative

There’s a table in your room       isn’t there?

  • Positive

1. With ‘be’

  •  Negative                                 + positive

2. Simple Present

  •  Negative                                 + positive

3. Simple Past

4. Present Continuous

  •  Negative                                 + positive
